Il Vicino has had a brewery and taproom for many years - they've just moved into a new space and expanded. However, the new location has a great patio and a tasty menu of sandwiches, meats and cheeses, two things missing from the old IV taproom. A comfortable place that's worth checking out.

tried them,  found  the food to be hit or miss,  the frenchie was good the mufaletta was pretty flavorless and bad.

I visited IVB Canteen mid-afternoon yesterday, Thursday, 9/22.  I had a pint of their Pilsener, and the Daily Special sandwich--an item they called The Revenge of the Green Gobbler ($9.00).  I thought it a bit overpriced, but very tangy and tasty.  It consisted of green chile hummus, turkey, a very mild cheddar cheese, field greens, tomato, and onion served cold on a baguette, with a pickle spear and a bag of chips on the side.  The beer was great, too.

 

Staff seemed to be chatty with one another, but it did not interfere with service, which was very attentive. I will be going again.  No music at the time.  I agree with the poster who said to avoid those times.  It must be horrendous; the industrial decor is very reverberant.

I've enjoyed the standard flight of beers available at their restaurants for years, but the brewer's specials available at the IVB take it to a new level. Exodus IPA is probably my favorite local beer just now, and there are lots to choose from these days.
