Does anyone know if there is a second Millie's restaurant in Albuquerque? I had heard that another Millie's was opening besides the ongoing one on Jefferson.

Is the Blue Cactus Grill closed? Anyone have any info?

I've eaten at Pizza 9 a couple of times, and was completely unimpressed. Compared to the awesome quality of the Pie Shack (which it replaced), it is utterly pedestrian. We've since been getting our Pizza from Venezia's on Juan Tabo.

Forgot to add, for a really tasty thin crust pizza head to Golden Crown Panaderia on Mountain, just east of 12th. It's a bread Co., but their pizza is quite good !!

Two things Chicago releated -

Top Dog on Menaul closed. Not sure about the others. They out of business ? I thought they were kind of pricey anyway.

Pizza 9 is not a bad pizza. But as an ex-Chicagoan, Chicago style to me is thin-crust, not the overhyped stuffed or pan. The sausage was like a meatball and for authenticity, they need to cut the thin crust in squares.

Danielle, I like Pizza 9 just fine, but I do take issue with calling it Chicago-style. It is most certainly not anything like Chicago deep-dish.

Take the kiddos to Itsa for a Nathan's hot dog and an Italian Ice. See Adelita's review here.

My five year old and I like Johndhi's on Rio Grande. They are set for kid's with coloring and fast service. They have a nice patio with plenty of things to get up and look at.
We also like Bumble Bee's, but Bumble Bee's used to be better with the live music. We haven't been as often since they stopped with the music. Nice place to play I Spy with all the bumble bees.
ONeil's patio is ok for kids too.
