Comment by Michael Bernstein on September 24, 2010 at 8:55am: I've eaten at Pizza 9 a couple of times, and was completely unimpressed. Compared to the awesome quality of the Pie Shack (which it replaced), it is utterly pedestrian. We've since been getting our Pizza from Venezia's on Juan Tabo.

Top Dog on Menaul closed. Not sure about the others. They out of business ? I thought they were kind of pricey anyway.

Pizza 9 is not a bad pizza. But as an ex-Chicagoan, Chicago style to me is thin-crust, not the overhyped stuffed or pan. The sausage was like a meatball and for authenticity, they need to cut the thin crust in squares.
