A couple years ago I had an indifferent slice at Giovanni's- Went back a couple weeks ago and bought a Sicilian- it was awesome. Made me feel better about living so far from Corrales Village Pizza.

I'm surprised about the negative comment on Giovannis, I have not had a bad experience in the past unless something has changed recently.

The absolute best pizza in Albuquerque is not in Albuquerque but in Tijeras. Right next to Molly's bar. They'll deliver your pie to the bar piping hot out of the oven. Or you can eat it at Trail Rider's if their one table is available. Take home is, of course, an option. My personal favorite is the "Santa Fe." Mmmmmm.

Hmmm...never had a bad slice at Giovanni's, so I definitely would give them another try. Only bad thing about them is that they're so far away from where I live!

Yikes...soggy crust is not a good thing. I'm sorry you had a bad experience at Giovanni's. I recently had a Rustica pizza and housemade root beer at Il Vicino in Nob Hill and it reminded how much I enjoy that place.

I still have a soft spot for the Saggio's by-the-slice pizza. I just get the cheese, no extras. Though for some reason, I'm not as fond of their whole pizzas. Maybe it's because we got one a little undercooked once.

Hi all! My friend and I - still looking for a really good pizza experience - went to Giovanni's on San Pedro last Friday and left very disappointed. I wanted to believe that we were going to get a 'knock-out' pizza as it smelled so good when we entered the restaurant. It was terrible! My biggest complaint is that the crust was wet and soggy. Is that normal for their pizza? Should we give them another try?

Thanks for the Crazy Fish recommendation. I usually go to Shogun as my default Nob Hill sushi spot, but I should probably branch out. I had some okay sashimi at Azuma - nice atmosphere and service, but the fish wasn't as refined as I like.

I love Crazy Fish for sushi. It's on Central in Nob Hill. Great atmosphere, big servings, good music. I go there solo all the time.
