Comment by Phunque1 on October 20, 2011 at 10:22pm Is Albuquerque finally experiencing the third wave?
Restaurant wave #1 = same old standby places that have always been around.
Restaurant wave #2 = Here come the franchise and corporate concepts
Restaurant wave #3 = We have seen all that now bring on the specialty independent.
Example: Petit Luis, Lush Cafe, The Grove, Slate Street Cafe, Street Food Asia, Roses Table Cafe, Cafe Giuseppe, The Guava Tree, Pasion Latin Fusion, Nicky V's, Torino's, Cafe Bella Coffee etc...

Comment by Phunque1 on October 11, 2011 at 11:49am Chiptole? Do we really need another burrito option in our area. Much less a "California mission style" corporate concept that sends cash out of state to the corporate office. Although... the Taco Bells do a great business here. Chipotle = food for the "sheeple"? my 2 cents.

Comment by L. C. Sterling on September 23, 2011 at 4:28pm Hey Mike,
Finally figured out how to "create a discussion" and moved my Street Food Asia comment there. I hadn't seen your post. Wish I had ...
Comment by Mike Horrell on September 23, 2011 at 4:24pm I panned it heavily a few months ago here and on Urban Spoon and I'd have to say that some of the later, positive "reviews" smell of shilling... far too effusive to be real.
I think the place isn't worth bothering with.
Comment by ABQ Uptown Growers Market on August 26, 2011 at 12:24pm There is more than great produce at the ABQ Uptown Grower's Market! We have some incredible local businesses producing local food that is ready to take home and eat! Try Tio Frank's red and green chile sauce (the green is very good but the red is the best I have had anywhere), Beals Salsa with the freshest local ingredients possible, AlbuKirky Seasonings with spice rub and BBQ sauce that my 20 something sons declaired better than Rudy's, fresh breads and pastries and a new addition tomorrow of Dessert Divas- the queen of lucious desserts!
Come on by the Market Saturdays and Tuesdays 7 am until noon in the ABQ Uptown Shopping Center NE parking lot, 1 block east of Louisiana on Indian School then north on Uptown Blvd 1 block north of Trader Joes.
Live music tomorrow morning starting at 8:30 am with Spankey Lee! Plenty of free parking and easy access for the whole family!
Absolutely great pho, now being served at Cafe Trang Pho Bar in Rio Rancho. Now we don't have to drive all the way to Albuquerque's Central and Louisiana to get a bowl of great pho.
We have it now here in Rio Rancho, on Southern Blvd.!!
