I've been drinking a lot of microbrews lately, let's say I wanted to change it up a bit with.. you know what, it's been so long since I had an actual cocktail, I think it was a sapphire martini, shaken, I don't even know how to order, and prior to the sapphire, i went on a caucasion binge, here's my trick, a few cubes, 3-4 oz stoli, splash milk, splash kaluha, watch the big lebowski, repeat. Do I need some help or what, i'm just to busy making sausage?

Nob Hill Bar & Grill is doing "Soul Food Sundays" in their bar area from 3pm until each Sunday. The cocktails there are always creative and fabulous every day!

We just went ot one of Season's Jazz on the Patio Saturdays last night and it was a good time! While we were there I found out about an upcoming "Beer Dinner" & a Scotch dinner. So, I thought that I would let everyone know about some really good sounding dinners coming up at Season's. Below is the info from their website.
Regarding their cocktails: the featured list looked intriguing so we tried a couple of them a "Kentuckytini" & a "Raspberry Lemonade". We thought that they were both overwrought and much too sweet for our tastes; as well as pricey to be so "mix tasting"... Anyway, the good news is that they have a good wine list and several relly good small batch bourbons so we switched to "neat" Basil Hayden & Baker's. Good call!
Below is the info from Season's website.
"We're planning an evening of blues and brews on our upstairs patio with a Sierra Nevada Beer Dinner on Thursday, July 24th. This casual evening affair will start at 6:30 pm with a reception course including passed appetizers. The seated portion of the dinner will begin at 7:00 pm and include four additional courses. Check out the menu below. If you have questions or would like to make reservations send us an e-mail at

Finally, on August 22nd, Seasons will present a Scotch Whiskey Dinner. The dinner will be hosted by a certified Scotch Ambassador from Diageo Distributing.

Look for finalized menus, dates and starting times here in the near future. If you have any questions please feel free to call us at 766-5100 or send us an e-mail to the address above".

I'm looking for a good happy hour place to meet friends and be able to talk without yelling! Snacks would be good too, but, geez, when 6 or more of us get together at some places we can't talk and drink -- we gotta yell!
