I finally have my Etsy site up and running!  Please take a moment to look, all proceeds go towards helping my dad in the hospital!  (He's been at UNM and a couple other facilities in Albuquerque for over 5 months now due to severe pancreatitis.)

Hey fellow crafters!  i'm selling a really nice desk! It is great for having a nice big workspace for crafting, sewing, computing, etc. Let me know if you have any questions!

Just wanted to let people know that The Octopus and the Fox is having a craft fair! Come one, come all and see vendors selling all sorts of fantastic arts and crafts. And we all know how much everyone loves to buy local! There will be a bake sale booth and heaps of awesome! In addition, The OctoFair is also happy to say that this extraordinary event is also a fundraiser for the Newborn ICU to raise money for their Christmas blankets. So bring your lovely selves on down to The Octopus and the Fox! Support your local community and a good cause!

The fair will be in the parking lot of The Octopus and the Fox, Artichoke Cafe and Farina (the corner of Edith and Central). If you have any questions please call us at (505) 369-8705 or email us at theoctopusandthefox@gmail.com.

Hi. I'm new to ABQ. I'd like to take a silver-smithing class (I make jewelry) and also learn how to crochet. Any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi~

If there is anyone on here who does tapestry weaving or wants to, I would love to find a weaving buddy.  I just built a copper loom and am trying to learn via books, etc.  Any company, novice or otherwise would be excellent!

Come visit "The Octopus and the Fox" to buy wonderful handmade, local crafts and art! The Octopus and the Fox is a boutique owned and operated by local artists, for local artists. We showcase handmade art, fashion, and gifts from dozens of local artists and designers. If you are interested in consigning with us please email theoctopusandthefox@gmail.com. We will also offer classes for those who want to learn handmade techniques. Class schedules will be announced shortly.
We are located at 514 Central Ave SE (less than a block from The Artichoke Cafe). Our hours are Monday through Saturday from 11am to 7pm. We are also excited to announce that we will be having a Grand Opening Party on Friday, February 11th from 6pm to 10:30pm at the store! Please come by and celebrating a fantastic beginning. There will be music, snacks, and beverages and many wonderful items to buy for yourself or a loved one for Valentine's Day! We hope to see you soon! Hurray handmade!

Hey~

Does anyone know of a place in ABQ (or near) where they offer navajo or tapestry weaving classes?  I am very interested in this and I can't find anything anywhere!  (Village Wools occasionally offers something, but hasn't for a year or so...).

thanks~

Jillian
