Duke City Fix

Life, food, events, and community in Albuquerque, NM

Burque has a lot of cinder block walls that line streets big and small. They are not pretty. I am interested in starting a public arts process that would incorporate the homeowners and local community in beautifying those walls. This would entail asking property owners if they would like to have their street-facing walls painted/landscaped/retrofitted/familiarized, and then doing the job. It's an idea in its very early stages, and as such depends on some help and input.

Please, either respond to this post or email me at stephencarvlin_at_gmail.com

Let's do this!

PS- Some of the inspiration for this idea came from something similar happening in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood. This could also be applied to a lot of Burque's empty lots.
