Hi there! I'm new to this group. I've been searching for the linux users in the Duke City? Nice to know I found some :-) Is there anyone who would be willing to answer two questions regarding my Debian Squeeze?

Looking at the posts, it seems as though this group is not very active. It would be great to see more activity considering I am new to Linux and full of questions. Is there a LUG in Albuquerque? There are a lot of distros out there, and it would be awesome if I could join in or listen to a discussion about them to better understand what they have to offer.

Thanks
D

I would love to be a part of this. I joined the nmlug mailing list and it is beyond dead... aka 0. I find it hard to believe no one else in NM uses Linux lol

Hey, we're having an install party over at Quelab on the 12th. http://quelab.net/wordpress/745/712-learn-about-linux-night-700-pm-...

Thought some of you might be interested. Should be a good opportunity to talk shop or get some troubleshooting help.

This and other forums of my interest are dead! No posts newer than 2011.

@Bluegoo Apple's OSX is not unix although it is unix-like. MS is finally getting into open source but I still distrust them.

Linux has been in embedded devices, routers, and servers for a long time. It was once proven to out perform MS servers in every category except printing.
