Has anyone found a real job from Craigslist?

I'm frustrated by the large number of work-at-home come-ons and info phishing.

Lately I've been using my trash email account to send a test email. If it doesn't bounce back with an autoreply, I send a real email. Still, the real emails just seem to get sucked into the void.

Any thoughts on CL and the job search?
Anyone try posting a resume there?

I sent a resume for what looked like a great job - something for my specific qualifications. I was to have received a response within 72 hours. It's now been 144 hours and counting. Who knows who has my resume and all my information. Grrrr. Won't do that again.

Actually, I did find a job on Craigslist a couple years ago. It was a tech job, but only lasted 3 months. Still it paid well.

With the number of scams circulating on Craigslist, I would not send my resume or any private information unless I knew it was a legit posting. There was an ad a few months ago that I answered with a simply query for more information (since the ad was anonymous) and I got nothing back. I have no idea if it was legit.

Almost everything I've replied to on CL has given me back something that ALMOST looks like a real reply from a real company, but something just seemed off...and there was always a link you had to click on or something they required you to do first...and it turned out to be signing up for this, that or the other first. Bull crap!!! I hardly trust anything from there anymore!

I just moved here in October and haven't found anything yet. It's very discouraging.

And you know, I didn't even think about the resume with private info on it and everything. I assumed they were companies looking to hire, so of course I sent my resume to all the ones I was halfway interested in. Now I'll have to be more careful. But it's too late for all the ones I already sent out!!

This past summer I replied to an anonymous Craigslist employment ad that was right up my alley. I edited my resume so that the only personal info in it was my name and email address. The ad turned out to be legit and I got an interview. (Didn't get the job though.)

The input on the other end varies a lot.

I put up a few ads for potential jobs or collaborators for a grant I'm applying for. A good chunk of the replies I received had no relation to what I was looking for. Some people had some qualification but just sent generic resumes that were not at all focused on the specific job. I think one person sent me a note in all lowercase, asking how much the pay would be.
