This Saturday special guests on an even SPECIALER (yes I said that) mission will join
the Harwood in a celebration of community and culture. The White House Organic Farm Project (aka WhoFarm) is an eyecatching mobile effort to politicize the front lawn of the White House. What grows there now? Grass. But what grew there during Adams's and Roosevelt's terms? Vegetables. Hey, everyone's doing it now - the growing thing. And with the
way things are going lately I think
canning's going to be the new
pink!. So maybe it is time for the White House to return to Earth and
get in touch with the dirt too.
Whether you're interested in the politics of food, enjoy a bit of gardening yourself, or want to see an inverted schoolbus-rooftop-garden, check out the Who Farm Mobile this Saturday at the
3rd Annual Carnuel Road Parade & Fiesta!
As for the Harwood Art Center and our thoughts on veggies, you do know that we manage a
community garden don't you?
