Just wanted to give the library customer service a shout out for kind and awesome service!

My card had expired, and I wanted to order books online. Normally I would just head to the library and renew the card, but I explained to the very helpful staff member that I had broken my ankle, could not drive, and have to rely on others to drive me places. I was frustrated that I would need to make two trips - one to renew the card, one to get my books that I had requested using the online card digital catalog. The staff member responded to my quandry by offering to give me a short extension so that I could make just one trip to the library (to pick up books I had ordered and renew my card).

I'm so grateful.

I love the libraries! Had a great time talking in Rio Rancho at the "Celebrating the Stories" event. (Authors love to talk about their books!)

District 5 Bernalillo County Capital Improvements Program Constituent Meeting
will be held Wednesday,April 28 from 6:30 to 8:30 at the Los Vecinos Community Center, 478 ½ Old Highway 66. Commissioner Michael Brasher is hosting the meeting.

Please attend and lend your support for a $2 Million Library bond to be on the ballot in November.

If you go you will receive a "Support Libraries" button that you can wear everywhere. Everybody wants one!

District 5 Libraries include East Mountain, Lomas/Tramway, JuanTabo and Tony Hillerman

I have been a long time patron of the public library. I got my card when I was 3 years old. I've been frequenting it more, using it as my primary study spot as well as a place to check out new movies and new music. I'm glad to see the latest bestsellers get into circulation so quickly. There is always great activities, speakers, storytellers, etc.

My one concern is at a few of the libraries I study at there seems to be a lack of "knowing" by some patrons of appropriate behaviors in the library. The "no talking zone" policies are posted, but I have seen little enforcement.

I wanted to get a job at the main library . With a hiring freeze just 10 hour a week would be okay with me or just voulunteer at the book store. They havent ever called me for interview. BOO HOO community

I love my library. Erna Ferguson. I love the reading lists for kids organized by grade levels! Fantastic.
