Can someone tell me what the "H" is for ? I realize (I think) the 8 refers to Prop 8.

By the way ~ I'd be there at the protest but I'm a 62 year old disabled guy who has difficulty walking and standing for any length of time. But I am with you in solidarity.

If you are upset and saddened by recent abuses of human rights and discrimination against the GLBT community in this country, join us for a Rally on Sat. Nov 15th at 11:30am on Civic Plaza. If you want to help, you can:

1) Come Sat and bring your family - ALL the people that love and support you in your life.
2) Organize a sign making party Friday night - we need lots of extra signs for Sat. morning. Remember: DON'T be hateful or church bashing. Ideas for signs are attached.

3) Follow and spread the word about the "Rally Do's & Don'ts" below.
4) Forward this email to everyone you know!

We will have a short rally followed by a march through downtown.

Rally DO'S & DON'T:

DO NOT Raise your voice.
Do NOT Engage in negativity.
Do NOT Allow personal physical attacks.
DO NOT Become violent or hostile.

WALK AWAY FROM:
ANY physical intimidation.

I was in Seattle for work so I joined that protest... 6000 people, and got my picture in Seattle's version of the Alibi (The Stranger) already on the internets. My sign says 'Do Not Piss Off the Gays.' and my GF's sign says 'Fuck Diplomacy, We want rights NOW." except she left the L out of diplomacy. and that is even funnier as she corrects typos in menus when we go out.

I entertained the younger folks around me about why foamboard is a superior sign making tool only available now... much discussion occurred as to whether I use papyrus for my first gay march sign or whether it was chiseled from stone ALA the 10 commandments....

I also enjoyed the sign "Jesus had two daddies" and when we marched past the 4 or 5 christian protestors with a sign that said "Repent or Else" the chants changed to 'What do we want? ELSE ! When do we want it? NOW!'

Sunny, warm and no rain in Seattle... I also explained to the youth that in 1969 during the Stonewall riots that God made a covenent with the gays and declared it would always be sunny for our marches.
(Yeah, I dont know why it rained in DC... I think it's because God ignores DC for the most part and forgot to hold off the rain)

So, back to the Queerque... how was it, lets hear some stories... I think we have awakened the gay right movement and I am thrilled...; ▶ Reply to This

We were laughing about her Dipomacy last night while looking at the 400 photos Mira took. I can't believe you're on DCF and we walked right by each other! Mira's still editing the photos and taking a while, but I'm going to put up a post tomorrow with a few of them. Did you see the nude lady on her balcony above Pine downtown? I cant believe two DCFers were in Seattle at the same event...

I did not see the nakked lady, althought there is a good picture of her on the stranger website.... I did like the sign that said "Keep your nose out of my butthole"; ▶ Reply to This
