Hello hello, there are many things I miss about Albuquerque, most of which are the amazing friendships I made. I've been living in California for about 7 years now but I always go back and visit NM when I get a chance. I'm glad this group is in existence, so I may keep tabs on what my brothers and sisters are up to back in the 505.

Hi, everyone.  Happy Closet Cinema week.  I hope you are enjoying yourselves and the fine film program this year's festival has to offer.  If you haven't gotten to any of the films, do so before the festival ends.

Hope you are planning a wonderful weekend - rest up - because the Balloon Fiesta is upon us, a time when the Albuquerque sky is unwittingly colored in pride ;)

Hi All,

Since 1985 UNM Truman Health Services has been helping HIV-positive patients manage their illness. We work with everyone in the Albuquerque area regardless of their ability to pay and offer free rapid HIV and Hepatitis testing on Tuesdays from 8:00 AM to noon and on Thursdays from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM. We also offer Men's and Women's HIV-positive support groups. These are a safe place for HIV-positive patients to come and share their experiences and learn from others with HIV.

For more information you can contact for our address and any other information. Thanks!

Hi Everybody!  How about giving a listen to and then sharing Billy Gilman's newest release?  That would be a grand gesture, don't you think? Its on YouTube:  Say You Will by Billy Gilman

Today's news concerning Sidewinders ongoing defacing is distressing.  I don't know who among this group visits that club or not but I would say that if people are vandalizing an LGBTQ location it might not take much for them to assault a patron.  So with that its important that people be vigilant and safe.

That said, and I'm just wondering out loud, if there is some link between that and the Southwest Film Festival that is in full swing this week.  Or if its somehow connected to October being National AIDS Awareness month.  Or if its linked to the nasty and contentious presidential election.  Maybe its just plain old hate.

Regardless of the reason or the cause let's continue to support and encourage each other, to be safe, and to be proud.

Hi.  I have a quick question.  As you know DCF has changed its format and features individuals rather than groups.  As a result the community groups have become mostly inactive, ours too. Here's the question:  Should Queer Albuquerque group stay or has the time come to take it down?  Thoughts?
