5 Guys is good but their buns suck!  They disintegrate before you are done with the burger.

Rio Rancho and the surrounding area have changed so much over the years! In 1971 My family and I lived just off of hwy 528 in sky view acre's All of us in high school were bused from Rio Rancho, and sky view acre's to West Mesa. They decided to build Cibola and then the Rio Rancho kids attended that school. I am amazed at all of the changes and growth!!

Sarah - Yes I was being sarcastic.  That comment was meant to be on the original thread but Kitson locked it down as I was typing it.

 

It was in reference to Slamwagon, who obviously reserves his complaints about subjects not about Albuquerque only for those threads that include RR.  He has lodged that complaint on multiple occasions but only in threads that where people are discussing Rio Rancho.  My point, was to point out that even though this site is primarily about Albuquerque there is tons of other threads that are not.

 

I like RR for what it is.  Since I live in Paradise Hills I frequent Rio Rancho often... especially Turtle Mountain, Pericos and Fat Squirrel.

Thanks, Sarah, for inviting me here.

Two years ago my wife and I decided to retire and moved here to New Mexico.

It was the best decision of our life.   Most of our friends in California have never heard of Rio Rancho, so this is why we tell them that we live in Albuquerque, which we don't mind at all.

I like Albuquerque a lot.  It's a great place to visit.

However, as far as we are concerned, Rio Rancho is one of the greatest places on earth to live.   We love it!!

We actually live in a community called Enchanted Hills, just north of 528 and next to 550.   It is so convenient to everything......it's not too far from I-25.

We like the people here in Rio Rancho.  The population here is so diverse.....and friendly, too!

I believe Ramon was being sarcastic, Sarah. Which is of course generally what got us into this mess in the first place. :-) DCF naturally welcomes all points of view, and will entertain all topics generally dealing with the Albuquerque metro area, which includes RR, LL, Belen, East Mountains, Edgewood, and occasionally even (HORROR) Santa Fe topics of interest, etc.... the main thing that is not tolerated is lack of respect for opposing ideas. We aim to keep it civil and on topic. the last thing we want is a redux of "KOB.com"'s comment roll. May this group live long and prosper!

I agree with this.  We shouldn't be discussing RR or such other places such as Bosque Del Apache, Jemez, White Mesa, Belen, Sandia Mountains or even the South Valley...since it technically is not part of Albuquerque.

 

Or do you only reserve this complaint for discussions that involve Rio Rancho?
