Anybody have experience parking @ UNM or Downtown?

Do people generally respect your property?

Thanks :)

I live downtown, and I chain my scooter to a tree at night. I haven't had anyone mess with it. I was pretty worried when I first got it, but so far, everything has been okay.
Yeah, never mind what I said before. My scooter was stolen last night. Bolt cutters and a pick up truck. I'm so sad.

Sorry to hear about that. Will keep an eye out for it.
that's awful i'll keep an eye out for you.
I use mine all over downtown.

I lock mine up with a cable wherever I'm at plus I had an alarm added for quick stops after someone tried to steal mine. As for the alarm - don't use it except for a quick stop 'cause it will drain and kill the battery. It's better to take an extra minute to lock it up than it is to have it stolen.

As for the attempted theft of my scooter - it happened right near Lomas and 12th Street where everyone could see about 2:00 in the afternoon.

Sorry to hear about the stolen scooter. In my rides around downtown I've seen a notice about a stolen scooter too. That's so sad.
