Hello Start Up Members!

Just wanted to introduce myself and start up project, TRAVELHOST of Central New Mexico, Magazine. Our first quarterly issue is premiering in September and will be distributed for travelers at local area hotel rooms.

Many folks don't realize that that tourists out number locals 3-to1 and spend approx. 5.1 billion dollars annually in our beautiful state. Of course, this means they go out to eat, shop, and more. I came to TRAVELHOST loving the idea of helping visitors discover what to do, where to go, and where to try for their first time. So, you will find that TRAVELHOST offers real content. Each editorial contributor for the magazine is a long time local with long lists of favorites that
they are proud to refer.

If you have any story ideas or even would just like more info about the publication, please feel free to contact me anytime, editor@travelhostnm.com a sneak peek is available at: http://www.bombillamarketing.com/summersneak.pdf

Have a great day!

Hi Miriam,
(and everyone else) These social network sites are a great way to get to know people, but the best is F2F. I help charter a business networking group about 18 months ago and it did very well, at first. Then people stopped doing what they were there for (passing referrals and inviting guests) and it soon became a "breakfast club" I have since joined The Albuquerque Business Builders Referral group. I think this group has what it takes. If you would like to attend as a guest, please let me know. It meets every Tues. from 11:30 - 1:00 at the Court yard by Marriott on Jefferson.

It has been awhile since I looked into this group. I am wondering why we don't all try to do a better job at it. I am also wondering if you all would help me out. I am developing a workshop about setting up an efficient SOHO (small office home office) office, and am in need of experiences and challenges overcome in making the shift. Please share. I find that putting on shoes helps me get to work - putting the tv in the other room also helped. Thanks.

My wife and children recently moved to Rio Rancho, and I am still living and working in Baltimore, MD. I hope I can join them by summer time. I work for a sustainable building/living architecture firm in MD (we do; green roofs, planted modular retaining walls, interior planted biofilter walls, straw bale construction, warehouse rehabs into environmental living spaces, and a little solar geothermal work). I am working with the owner of the company on how I can bring some of the things we do to the market in New Mexico. I am glad to be apart of this group and receive any advice and suggestions about bring a business to ABQ, and to read and learn about what other people are doing in the Duke city. Thanks

I am working on the production of an aromatherapy line. Does anyone have info about local regulations?
