Intrigued by political intrigue?
New Mexico politics can be a confusing and entertaining spectacle and one man with his eye on the target and finger on the pulse of this beast is Joe Monahan, author of the prominent blog, "New Mexico Politics with Joe Monahan."

Join others intrigued with our fast moving political stage at O'Niell's Pub this Thursday eve (July 15th) at 7 PM and enjoy a pint while you hear the latest. Invite friends and debate partners!

This event is sponsored by the Green Party of Bernalillo County as the first in a series of informal gatherings looking at issues we value . . . beginning with Grassroots Democracy.

I just got an email from Marty Chavez's campaign smearing Richard Romero; claiming he used campaign funds and personal funds (over $20,000) to support right wing Republican candidates. Did anyone else get this? What does it mean? They call Romero a lobbyist. Who was he a lobbyist for?

Here's an in-depth article in Rolling Stone about John McCain's life. Not flattering. He's so much worse than I had ever imagined.

hey samantha, as far as your list above goes, I check in daily it's national and he mostly rounds up links and video and posts them with small commentaries. the links aren't all political (a bit of science and philosophy too), but it's usually quality content. I use it as a jumping off point to check out new blogs, etc. just thought I'd add my two cents. thanks for making this space.
