How did it go, munecamama? Somehow I did not see this message til now.
I got some classes to write comments to folks in Haiti, messages of love and concern and solidarity. I was going to mail them to the US Embassy in Port Au Prince when things calm down a bit. We did not raise money however, and am no longer at that school.
The collection was a huge success. The school raised a little over $4,000 from the yard sale and coin collection.

I think the timing of the letters will be perfect. There was a lot of outreach right after the quake, but getting the letters a little later will let the Haitian people know they are not forgotten.
