Are there any teachers out there looking for an interesting window into their poetry unit for English this year? If you are wondering about how to make poetry interesting and worthwhile to your students... I may have a way of helping you. Please contact me about the possibility for guest presenters in your classrooms, slam poets from our very own community. We have nearly 10% of the National Champion population, in relation to slam, living in our city!!!

I don't have a classrom, Carlos, but I will put out the word. Thanks!
Carlos, my Drama students could definitely benefit from this! I'm sending a friend request so I can PM you my info.
Thanks!

email me sorry to get back to you so late.
Carlos, Would you come to my classroom? I've seen you in action during the summer Voces program and know you would relate so well to my students. (Of course the other poets are talented as well, and my students would love hearing them, too!) I teach 5th grade and we're currently into our poetry unit. My kids are loving it and a slam poet would connect with so may of them in a new way. Do you know of anyone who could come in January or early February?
When were you thinking of having a guest poet in Feb? I am busy in Feb a lot of the time, but I do have fridays off. I will be out of town on a couple of those Fridays anyway but it is looking like I'll have the 5th and the 12th open during the day if you would like me to come in and present. If you can email me though to keep me posted on your interest that would work better. Thanks. soothxsayer@yahoo.com
