Even the people that I'm sure should know better are texting and using your when it clearly should be you're. I think that in twenty years no one is going to know the difference.

Well, IMO, there's nothing wrong with the so-called aberrations of text English... it's when these habits get used in writing that is sad.

Why can't people understand contractions? The your-you're and the their-there misuses are high on my list of pet peeves. I can even live with its-it's. IMNSHO
