Gosh, its  been a  long  time  since I  posted  on  here.  Guess  I  gotta  get  back  on  here more often  and get caught up.  I  forgot  how  interesting  this  can  be  sometimes.  I  hope  more  people  come  back  and post. 

How  is  everyone  doing ?    I  just  created  a new  page  on FB  called  Minnesota  Transplants  Living  in New Mexico.    Only  got  a few  people  so far, but  thought  you  all might  like  to  check it  out  and  connect  on  it  just  for  fun.   

We're still  loving  Albuquerque  and  enjoying  the  gorgeous  weather  here.  This  is  paradise  to be able to sit outside  and  not  have bugs  attacking. And  the low  humidity helps  too.   I  never  knew  anyplace  existed  that  had  those  two combos.  We are  Blessed !

Minnesota has had so much bad weather lately that you wonder when its going to end. We are getting ready to take a trip back up to Minnesota in a few weeks for a couple of class reunions. Strange as it may sound, I am actually kinda dreading Minnesota summer weather..... with all the heat, humidity, bugs, and nasty storms. For those of us who live in ABQ from MN we know how lucky we are to be here! Albuquerque is like Paradise to us compared to up North! When we try to tell them what our weather is like here, people actully think we are lying. Well, todays newspaper is going with us......LOL! Its got a storm story in it, and the years precip to date. Not sure the Minnesotans will still believe us! Anybody else have that problem? LOL ! Rochelle Kremer's comment, got it right. What a treat it is to go outside and not be blindsided by snow, humidity, mosquitos, and I'll add in the nasty MN weather.

Hi! I'm so glad to find this group, don't cha know? I moved here approx 2 1/2 years ago after living in the Twin Cities area for most of my life and Northfield for 12 years. There are a few things I still miss about Minnesota but have found even more great things to love here in Abq. What a treat it is to go outside and not be blindsided by snow, humidity or mosquitos! I've even learned to like green chile so I guess you could say I'm here to stay ;)

You are gonna love that Minnesota song! Its about the cold and ice etc. of Minnesota ........... oh how funny ! No wonder we call this group THE THAWED ! ROFL !

OK All My Minnesota Transplants! I got something really cute to share with you. A Minnesota friend of mine just sent me a really darned cute and funny song about Minnesota. Its called UFFTAMINNESOTA ! If anyone wants a copy of it, please email me at MamaCat14@aol.com and I will send it to you. Be sure to mention the Minnesota song.

Wisconsin, Iowa, North Dakota and South Dakota might not like it....... lol ! I downloaded it and have played it several times, and can't quit laughing ! For those of us Minnesotans living in the Land of Enchantment, we will have a double appreciation ! ROFL !

I grew up in MN... college in Iowa, grad school in Illinois, work in Massachusetts for 5 years... just moved to Albuquerque about a month ago. It's hot but I love it here so far.

Lutefisk.....haven't quite made up my mind about that delicacy yet. I guess it's an acquired taste. My mother and grandmother always used to go to lutefisk suppers at local Lutheran churches in the fall. I went with them once and can honestly say that the lutefisk I had wasn't bad at all. Must have been all of that butter it was swimming in :o)
