Attend “Food Preservation Methods” with Bernalillo County Open Space on Saturday, Sept. 7 and find how to put food up for the winter with methods such as hot bath canning, pressure canning and lacto-fermentation.
Speakers Kim Pophal and Sofia Rose will elaborate on food preservation techniques, appropriate equipment and troubleshooting. Bring your favorite recipes to sample and share!
The event will begin at 9 a.m. and end at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 7 at the Gutierrez-Hubbell House on 6029 Isleta Blvd SW, three miles south of Rio Bravo Blvd.
