The Rio Grande Community Farm is a non-profit, urban farm that is dedicated to growing organic food, enhancing wildlife habitat, and educating Albuquerque about sustainable agriculture and gardening.

We have 2 Americorps Vista positions that need to be filled by July 7, 2009. That is next week!

The positions are 1 year opportunities and begin Sept. 2009. We are looking for an Assistant Farmer and a Gardener/Educator. Both positions pay $10,000 with a $5,000 educational award. 32 hours/week. You cannot have another paying job (this is an Americorps policy). Assistant Farmer may also be offered a $8,500 housing stipend. Health insurance and childcare stipend may also be available through Americorps. Go to www.americorps.gov to check out their Vista program.
