NMITSA's IT Excellence Awards have become the Tech Excellence awards, reflecting the inclusion of Biotech, Optics/Photonics and 'New Media'. The application form is free and relatively easy to complete -- and you can nominate yourself (don't be shy).

I'm pretty sure some of the projects I've heard about at BarCamp and WebGeeks are worthy of recognition, and it would be great to have our awards event (November 6th at the Hyatt) help spread the word about some of the cooler things happening here in our backyard.
