Profile Information

Where I Live:
1124 Major Ave NW • ABQ • NM
About Me:
A southwest style B&B with a comfortable, laid back atmosphere.

If you live in ABQ and have friends or relatives coming to visit, and you can't or don't want to put them up, suggest a stay with us. We are a family owned and operated B&B that is smack in the middle of town. It is really easy to get to all parts of Albuquerque from our location near 12th and Candelaria.

We have had guests from all over the US and the world, and provide them with a stress free atmosphere, comfortable beds, a full healthy breakfast and a lot of local knowledge.

We have a few things no other B&B in ABQ has. We have jetted tubs for two in all rooms, a Finnish sauna with aromatherapy, and a 1,000 sq ft family suite with 2 bedrooms, a sleeper for two in the living room, a full kitchen with all the neccesary things to cook for yourselves, a grocery store within walking distance and an organic food co op just a mile away.

Adobe Nido has wireless high speed internet throughout the property and satellite tv with HBO in all rooms.

A fun time was had by all!

I wrote a blog for the tourists, and it has been a few days and another post since then, but after sleeping on it for several nights I feel very compelled to share with all the DCFers the really fun time a bunch of us innkeepers had a week ago past last Wednesday. We needed to have a meeting, but no on… Continue

I'm a winner!!!

I have been on a bit of a break from writing on the Fix, but not from reading it. It's not that I have suddenly become shy, but rather that I have taken a try at blogging out in the big ole cyberworld, trying to help the turistas as well as my web site traffic by blogging about thing… Continue

The Annual Elm Seed Festival

I know that not every neighborhood in Albuquerque has elm trees, but in the Near North Valley and for miles around us, they are everywhere. In the spring these trees present trillions of seeds on their branches before a single leaf bud pops out. With our recent weather pattern - windy,… Continue

What happened Friday in Santa Fe

Since Someguy takes the weekend off, and I know some of you only get your news from DCF, as sad as that may be, (no offense Someguy, you do us all a good service), ya'll need to know that the death penalty is nearly no more in New Mexico. Our legislators voted 24-18 to repeal it today. No matter how you feel about it, this is historic, as NM may join many states across the nation that have recently abolished the death penalty. It is all up to our Governor now. It is on his desk. It is my hope th… Continue

Wanna see 'em fall asleep and pick their nose?

I had an unusual Saturday night this week. I was on Twitter when I noticed an invitation from Gwyneth Doland of The New Mexico Independent to come to a live webcast at the Roundhouse in Santa Fe where she was live blogging with some other folks. Having never done either of these things before, I was intrigued, and so off I went to join them in live cyberspace. Live? Not being one to even think IM was anything but an annoyance while I am trying… Continue

Wow. If I did HALF of what I planned to do I would be a very busy girl and 40lb lighter. Sometimes the "planning on it" was the fun part anyway. Most of the time...if i actually forgot, I don't remember for a long time after the opportunity has past…

This city tour sounds wonderful. I have seen the adobe trolley buzzing around town a few times and wondered what it was all about. I'm going to have to try it out.

how are things going in the lovely north valley? this time of year makes me think of snuggling down in bed, feeling cozy and dozing in the weakening winter light...

No, I didn't know you were Sarah, too! Are you around on Monday? That might be the soonest I can come by.

Hi! I want to stop by at some point and sign the book and donate $5 to get Debbie O'Malley on the mayoral ticket. Can i get a special book to take around and get other signatures in my neighborhood, and drop it off with you?
