I know that not every neighborhood in Albuquerque has elm trees, but in the Near North Valley and for miles around us, they are everywhere. In the spring these trees present trillions of seeds on their branches before a single leaf bud pops out. Since Someguy takes the weekend off, and I know some of you only get your news from DCF, as sad as that may be, (no offense Someguy, you do us all a good service), ya'll need to know that the death penalty is nearly no more in New Mexico. Our legislators voted 24-18 to repeal it today. No matter how you feel about it, this is historic, as NM may join many states across the nation that have recently abolished the death penalty.
