Tiffany Concert Series: Late 19th and Early 20th Century String Quartets at The Albuquerque Museum of Art and History

String Quartets are an oft performed genre within chamber music.  As Clara Driscoll attended many concerts during her time in New York City, she probably heard many string quartets of the time.  This concert will feature Antonin Dvorak’s “American String Quartet" and Arnold Schoenberg’s “Quartet No. 2 with Soprano." Clara Driscoll often wrote about attending the opera while living in New York City, and particularly expressed a love for the operas of Richard Wagner.  This concert will feature songs by Charles Ives, Amy Beach, Aaron Copland, Giuseppe Verdi, and Richard Wagner.
