Yet the owner of Route 66 Malt Shop is refusing to pay his workers the $3.83 minimum wage that was recently enacted by 60% of ABQ voters. Instead of paying a basic minimum wage, the owner gave his employees an ultimatum: get paid less than minimum wage or be fired. He admits it is against the law and admits he doesn't care. When his employees complained, Mayor Berry's city attorney told KOB-tv said that Szeman's ultimatum is illegal but the mayor won't enforce the law. Stand up…See More

Instead of awarding the City of ABQ's Public Access TV contract to Quote...Unquote, who has held the contract for decades, the ABQ City Council will vote on Monday to irresponsibly hand over the contract to UPublic, a mouthpiece of conservative propaganda who has said that they will censor content.
