Oh. That would explain the little trailers they pull.

As much as I hate saying this, one good way to get bike riders to use lights is attaching a fine to the law. Here in Tucson, there is now a $250 fine for bikers not using a light. I have heard of people getting the fine, so it actually happens. Wh...

True, dat. I had a pretty bad wreck with a lightless cyclist on a bike path. Afterwards the other rider said "I saw your light, that's a good idea." Ya think?

I had Tommy's once, at about 3 in the morning, years ago, and while I have fond memories, I can't say my taste buds were fully functioning at that point. I need to visit L.A. again one of these days.

obts - skip that intermediate step and just mount a friggin' laser.

Reflective material IN ADDITION to lights on your bicycle will aid in making a cyclist as visible as possible. I am considering mounting a red beacon light on top of my helmet. You know, like those on top of the old police cars and fire trucks. L...

Before I moved to California, I had a couple of friends from there who hyped the In N Out all the time. So I went there straight away when I got to the land of milk and honey and high taxes and waaay too many people ... boy was I let down. Maybe t...

What you fail to realize is this isn't just about you. Which is kind of ironic, since you seem to think motorists don't want to share the road, follow the rules of the road etc. If you are riding on the road...there are certain rules you need to ...

ola Andy... I see you are moving onto Anthony Bourdain -love him!- I haven't read KC yet. Will you let me know what you think or write a review. I'm still trying to finish Presumed Innocence, 3 weeks is a record! It is so wordy-good lord...but an intriguing story so I have to see how it ends.

You know, Tricross and NMGolfHacker always respond to these things with the predictable right wing, fundie religion talking points. It's all about "God 'n' country, hell yeah!" with them. I just can't let it go by...although I know I am trying to teach a pig to sing on this one.

Hey Andy...just checking out your page and noticed you were (did) read The Poisonwood Bible. What'd you think? I read awhile back, found it consuming and crushing sad. My threshold for tragic is possibly dimished since having to read The Grapes of Wrath in HS, the saddest book ever...but I guess I still do it.

Don't give up! Scott is extremely fair and great when it comes to ironing out these problems. A friend and I were having pretty severe problems but they have since disappeared!

Review: Lyle Lovett and John Hiatt at the Kiva Auditorium. Tuesday, Oct. 6, 2009

First off: Great seats.
That's what we got for winning the DCF ticket giveaway for this show. Fourth row, dead center. I could count every wrinkle on the two performers faces if I wanted to; I did not.
This was one of the most casual and intimate shows I've been to in a long time. While I'm a huge fan of Lyle Lovett, I've never really been all that impressed with John Hiatt's recorded work.
But, both artists impressed. Sure, I know Lovett's songs and still prefer his quirky imagery to the more s… Continue

Tickets at the Sunshine

So, I have two tickets for the Neko Case show on May 28 but won't be able to go. Since I purchased them through Ticketmaster and they are waiting at Will Call, I have no idea if there's any way I can sell the tickets at face value to someone else or give them away to friends ... has anyone had this experience ... is there a way out?
