One of my clients is interested in renting out a softball diamond so his employees can play a softball game. I tried the city and left a message with UNM ... does anyone know of softball fields which are available to be rented out?See More

"far out ... just googled Faraday cage. Seems plausible ... but part of the reason I posted on here is that so many of us in Albuquerque have these same type of houses with stucco and plaster ... and so many people have been upgrading their windows…"

"I wonder if they used metal lathe for the stucco and/or plaster if it would act as a Faraday cage?  If so, the old windows might have been allowing enough signal through but the new ones, um, closed the window, as it were, and dropped it below…"

"They are Don's vinyl windows. My walls are frame/stucco but thick plaster throughout ... I used to have trouble with tmobile in my house, but once I switched to verizon the problems went away ... then the new windows came in last week ..."

"That is a good question. I tried opening the window nearest me and at first it seemed to help but then the problem continued. I have since talked to Verizon ... we'll see if the phone (or network) is the problem."

So, I finally did it! Single-pane casement windows from the 40's are gone ... replaced with double-pane insulating energy efficient beauties. Is it a coincidence that my cell service has plummeted? Anyone else experience this. Same phone, same network (Verizon). ?????See More
