Chicken Limping & Chicken Killing

Hello,We have a bantam hen who started to limp a few days ago, and today & yesterday she would barely walk unless absolutely necessary... right now she's laying in the corner of their pen and is alert and bright-eyed, but I feel terrible.  It seems she hurt her leg, and I wanted some advice on how long to wait before putting her down, or if there is something else we ought to be doing for her?I really don't want her to suffer more than necessary, so processing her seems like it may be the…See More

"That's interesting, because I just saw two hens on their website last week, and a rooster (and a duck of indeterminate gender) 3 days ago. Maybe their alert system doesn't really work."

Seeking month-to-month place or other short term but affordable housing - with chickens, perhaps?

Hello!  I recently relocated to Albuquerque from Montana, and I'm looking for a sublet or some other place to live temporarily...  I have a room arranged, but it won't be available for a month or so.  If I found a great situation, though, I would be open to staying for longer.  I'm into farming, making cheese, cooking good food, and I'm friendly and conscientious. I'd love to live in a house with people who are similarly aware of the environment, but I am open to all types of people, as long as…See More
