Looking for Potential Muralists for an APS School Project

We are working on a project with APS at an elementary school (which I'll withhold for the time being) where we are going to have a large mural, approximately 16 feet high by 50 long.  We are collecting names of interested muralists and taking suggestions from DCF readers for muralists to consider.  Any recommendations and ideas are welcome. This project has been designed and is in the funding stage. The artists will be working to execute ideas generated by the school and the students. Thank…See More

SteveJ replied to Baker A+D's discussion Why do our PNM and NM Gas bills go to DENVER?

Baker Architecture + Design

Albuquerque, NM

We want to share our updated portfolio and website with our Albuquerque friends and colleagues. It's always hard to make time to update the site, but in this "economic downturn" / these "uncertain times" (OK, who here is sick of hearing these two phrases?), we had this opportunity to take stock of what we've done over the last 6 years. We have a lot of new… Continue

We Won the People's Choice Awards Thanks to the Fix!

Posted on February 16, 2009 at 11:30am 0 Comments

It's finally official. We won the design contest that I blogged about for the use of 3form at NHBG. This is really cool because I know that we would not have done it without the help of Duke City Fix. We narrowly won, by two one hundreths! It's actually quite funny - we were the TOP rated project and we received only 2.7 out of 5 stars. So, clearly the… Continue

Thanks. Yeah, it's one of the more frustrating aspects of living in our city...witnessing that decay. But kind of an apt description for the ideals of that whole era.

Anyway, cool website! Way cool projects! Probably shouldn't say that, since I work for a competing firm, but, yeah, I dig it.

Hey Baker,
There was a period where I finished 7th 2 weeks in a row. I cant seem to get any traction either right now. The waters have been fierce and when I try to make moves it seems like Im running into bigger and badder hands.

Thanks for the support. Are you going this week?
