"Pretty much all the feed stores that I've ever been to in the South Valley have had them year round.  Just call ahead to be sure."

Where to get chicks?

I have had chickens for a couplt of years now but have never gotten them as chicks, only young pullets.  I was wondering where in town or the East Mountains people get chicks?  I have quite a variety of chickens and would like to keep up the variety.  I am really wanting to add at least Ameraucana (or Easter Eggers), black copper Maran, and Buff cochin.  Any suggestions? Thanks and happy chickening!See More

"I did see the earlier posting but that was for a bantam rooster and I have only large breed hens so I didn't think that would work.  I think I will have to go by breed characteristics to help get a friendlier rooster.  Any advice?"

"Did you notice previous postings offering Roosters for free? As in real life... There is generally an over-supply of roosters. (But in the human coop, a shortage of really good ones ;-)  "

Hi, thank you for thinking of this way for us to communicate.  I live in the NE heights, and I saw that you live in Edgewood, so what would be the best way for us to meet up?  I would be able to come up to Edgewood, or I am often home if you want to come and visit here.

Thanks,

Kris
