Unfortunately, your post is not a story, it's a discussion.  I can approve it, but not feature it in the story section.

A featured story is just that, a story that is written about something happening in Albuquerque, or if you are Johnny Mango, a great day trip.  We are looking for WRITERS to feature in that section. Other than Dee's photos and the Morning Fix, please look at the actual stories that are in the Featured Stories section to get an idea of what we are looking for.

Here are some guidelines that might help you:

How Duke City Fix works
About the Duke City Fix
Instructions & how-to info (also a great place to ask questions!)
How to get featured on the homepage
Community forum
Info for Businesses & Nonprofits

Keep in mind that blog, event, and forum topics are Albuquerque related and that sometimes it’s better to post questions to community groups to find people with similar interests, special knowledge, and specific enthusiasms.

There is also a group called Born In Burque that you can post this to and get some discussion going.

For Flickr - you can "Join this Group" for Duke City Fix photos.  You need to sign up for Yahoo if you don't already have an account.

As for the Stories section - we reserve that section for well-written stories by a core group of volunteer writers as well as any member on the site that writes a story about Albuquerque.  In years past that was our main focus and most popular section.  Since this is a volunteer run website, many of our writers come and go.  When many of our core writers took a break, Dee filled in the void with her gorgeous photos.  We are working hard on getting more writers with great content for the Stories section.  We have kept Dee in that section because she has become a regular volunteer contributor posting daily photos.

If you have great, well-written stories about Albuquerque to go along with your photos we certainly will feature them!  Let me know if you have any other questions.

Hey there.  You take such cool photos.  Would you mind posting your photos in our Duke City Fix Flickr photos?  Since we have Dee posting a daily photo in the featured story section, we are asking other photographers to post their photos on Flickr.  We'll be trying to promote those photos on Facebook as much as possible.  Thanks so much and keep taking those great photos!  Adelita

Hi Dan.  I approved your Nob Hill sign post, but I think it should be in the Forum under General Discussion.  Would you mind moving it to the Forum?  Thanks!  Adelita - moderator
