Three laying hens need forever home
I was very active on this board a year and some change ago, when my HOA was prosecuting me for having hens. They ended up taking me to court, trying to sue me for close to $5,000... I ended up being able to settle it in mediation and paying nothing in fines related to the chickens. Yay! However, in the meantime, my chickens had to go into foster care with my niece. Backyard chickens are making a comeback as a standard backyard pet, with the added benefits of eating pests (like black widows!!), fertilizing the lawn, eating all the weeds, and providing fresh eggs. I have 5 laying hens- I've raised them since they hatched in April.
