"I was surprised at how many people were looking at the camera- I count 6- I was far away.. Also, by far the nicest security people. They let photographers down on the floor, as long as we didn't block anything. Overall a great experience."
"What year was that? It must have been an interesting tour. I was worried that it would be overly commercialized etc but there are still rustic cabins and bungalows and of course amazing landscapes...I'm ready to return!"
"I've been to her house. She wasn't there. Her friend, Juan Hamilton, showed a group of National Park Service employees around when she was anticipated giving it to the Park Service as a National Historic Site. The NPS held it for…"
"It's a real bird. I had to convince him to open his beak and caw! Georgia O'Keeffe did use a lot of skulls in her work. Although it looks barren from this angle, over the rise is magnificent. You've been there?"
"Appropriate, even spooky, with Poe's Raven sitting on the Ghost Ranch entrance (is it a real bird or is it a carved sign?) Plus the skull, an O'Keeffe painting? Add the stark background -- stunted pinon and/or cedar? Spooky.
Really enjoying your photos of our quirky town, especially Vulcani * Zadora. Do you think the tire fell off the space between words and rolled to the sidewalk? My photos tend to be tightly cropped, I appreciate how airy and loose yours are in contrast. Cheers, Dan Shaffer, aka AlbuquirkyPhotos. Go to AlbuquirkyPhotos.com for more...
Caught a glimpse of some comments posted by you on DCFix; your approach to life seems friendly, so am hoping to ask a couple of questions. I just joined the club (?), and am unsure of its meanng and purpose; it was suggested to me that DCFix was qualified to help with my web page layout on Etsy.com. I have 5 books -written over past half century - and a number of oil paintings that have been reproduced as Giclees; so need better photos and an attractive layout. Anyway...
Here's a short poem you may like, to be offered by your mostest friend:
Great poem. I use Zuzu Petals because I started using "Zuzu" as a "counter name" you know, the name you give people when you order at a counter, because my name is not very "sayable." I used to write a great deal of poetry, but then I started grad school (ha-ha). I enjoy reading your writing, post more soon. I didn't know that Zuzu's Petals was a poetry website, but I'm glad it is. I live in Santa Fe, but I'm Duke City native.
