Chispa: Pimentel Concert Series Gerardo Pérez Capdevila, featuring Hector García at National Hispanic Cultural Center, Bank of America Theatre

The fifth concert in the Pimentel Concert Series features Cuban master guitarist Gerardo Pérez Capdevila.  Born in Guantanamo, Pérez began his music training at the age of eight, studying with José A. Chispa: Latin Diva Series, Ani Cordero at Bank of America Theatre, National Hispanic Cultural Center

Born to Puerto Rican parents, singer-songwriter and drummer Ani Cordero grew up both in the states and on the island, surrounded by music.  A founding member of the celebrated Mexican rock band Pistolera, she also fronted her own bilingual band Cordero, and plays drums in the New York rock group Tuff Sunshine and the cello-rock group Rasputina.  She has toured extensively, appearing from Radio City Music Hall to the Montreal Jazz Festival as well as in Europe.  While living in Atlanta during…See More
