Welcome (GACC) to Albuquerque Voice Group! We are really looking forward to your discussions, blogs, and just having you on the page! My name is Angelo Baca. I have been a resident of the fairest City of Albuquerque all my life and would like to see more people fall in love with it; as I have.

Well, at this time I do not have anything planned, except that I am coming to ABQ around 14-21 August for the conference. I don't have my plane ticket set yet, as I'm waiting to see what dates I will want to be there (perhaps even before the conference starts). Open space is great. I would prefer to have ceiling fixtures/beams/ceiling tiles (sort of) that I can hang metal conduit with chain from to display the pieces. By August I may need audio, I'm working with some artists and labels to determine the best route to include sound in the exhibit. I would like to have cocktail tables for food and drinks. I would rather not serve liquor, unless there's a really good reason to have it. A community space or art gallery is appropriate. Perhaps it could be split between each of those types of places over the course of several weeks?

At my first exhibit that ran for one night only, at a community spaceI had approx. 75-100 people per hour for 4 hours. At a subsequent exhibit I had 150 during 4 hours. So, it depends on the turnout and mostly the promotion of it within the city. I think people will turn out if it's well publicized.

Thanks for your interest. Please feel free to email me to continue dialogue:

Hello,

I'm organizing an art exhibit and painting workshops for veterans in ABQ in August 2009, that will be held concurrently with the Department of the Army Post Deployment Health Convention being held Aug. 14-21 at the convention center. I'm attending the convention from Seattle, WA and will be bringing my project there to display at the convention, and am in the process of planning the exhibit space to host the project somewhere in ABQ (thinking central ave.)

Please visit my website www.warep.com

Let me know if you have any ideas or are interested.

Hi there! I am a proud member of the GACC and was wondering if there was a group for the Chamber here on Duke City Fix? I searched, but didn't see one. It would be nice to have Chamber announcements and events listed in a group for easy viewing of what's going on at the Chamber!

Where I Live:

About Me:
The Greater Albuquerque Chamber of Commerce works every day to make our community a place where businesses can grow and prosper and where people want to raise their families. As the voice of business since 1917, we envision New Mexicans living in safe neighborhoods, working in rewarding careers at thriving businesses, while their children attend great schools, and enjoy their leisure time in one of the most beautiful
regions on Earth.

A place becomes a world class community for many reasons, but most notably, it is because it has a world class education system, a vibrant small business community, a modern and efficient transportation network, excellent healthcare for all, a sustainable environment, and a reliable source of power and water.

World class communities are great places for families and desirable places for business to locate and expand.

We work every day to make this region that place.
