"Liming" is a term from the island of Trinidad; it means hanging out with your friends, but is more active than that... including meeting somewhere, having conversation, playing cards, drinking beer, even hiking and talking, etc. We don't have a word for it in American English, and we should!

Read the article... they did a pretty good job on it and it was interesting that the activities director at the school lied about clearing it with the district's communication office.
