The new Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque.

Job loss. Mortgage crisis. Failing banks. Stimulus plan. Recession. The news these days isn't exactly a source of peace of mind. For me, I've looked to local organizations for inspiration and motivation. Right in our backyard, the non-profit sector is pushing hard to make a real difference in peoples' lives.

I've volunteered with Meals on Wheels of Albuquerque for merely a year (and recently joined the Board), but in that time I have gotten to know the staff… Continue

A bird, a plane... no wait, a crane?

Heads were swiveling in Old Town today as bypassers tried to determine, 'what is that noise?' An odd variety of pigeon? Recording of new age nature music? Squinting and looking up at the sky, there circling in a chaotic formation are hundreds of what I've determined to be Sandhill… Continue

Thank you Mr. Napkin Artist

Wednesday night. Nob Hill Bar & Grill. It is 8:30 pm, and I've put in three solid hours of networking. Power handshakes. Greasy business cards. Fake laughs. And there you are. As I'm ready to walk out the door. With a tap on the shoulder, and a quick turn to look, you made my week...… Continue

'Burque visits Obama - Inauguration '09 DC Trip

Just returned from an exciting and eventful visit back home to the DC / Maryland area. Although we didn't have tickets to any Inauguration events, we were hell bent on being in the area. To say the least, the experience was once-in-a-lifetime.

To save money on flights, we flew into Phill… Continue

Howdy! Pussed out on the road trip after an unexpected snow-filled ride to Phoenix a couple weeks prior. SF and GDC 2009 was still tons of fun.

Be on the lookout for an IGDA event announcement coming soon. See you later!

I love your pug stuff!

My sister in Dallas is a pug fanatic and she just got her third baby this summer.

Thanks for the comment. The adjustment is going pretty good. Although I have been home for almost a month it still kinda feels like a vacation. Its nice to rebuild and be creative with its process. Keep an eye on my blogs... Hopefully I will post a good one now and then.

Thanks so much for visiting the IGDA event tonight. Didn't exceed the level of excitement that a Pugtoberfest brings to the table, but I think it'll get there in time. Hope you had a good time & look forward to seeing you at more events!

Hi yes, I was there! I was wearing a pumpkin shirt and Zoe & Zack were pumpkins. I asked Kelly if you were there and she said she saw you but I missed you. Darn it! Yes, I totally meant to email to grab coffee and I left town after I contacted you and then got sidetracked. Go figure!! I will contact you this week because I also am going to help Kelly put together a volunteer meeting for the pug rescue to recruit some volunteers. I would love some input from ya. :-)
