Marans wanted

I am ready to expand my flock and am looking to acquire one or two young Marans. Pullets or hens only please. They will be joining my three 3-1/2 year old laying hens (a Plymouth Rock, an Australorp, and an Aracauna). Thanks!

"K aren, I have a lot of auracana's and my experience is that as they get older their egg colors can change and they tend to get lighter in color. For us this has been "normal". Dianne Valdez"

Changing egg color

I have a 3-1/2 year old americauna who has always layed blue-green eggs. Until about a week ago. She layed one that was pale pale green. Now she is laying light brown eggs. Has anyone had experience with the color of the eggs changing as the hen ages?

Looking for good homes for 5-month old Australorpe and 4-month old Americanus. I was told they were pullets when I bought them but ... If you can take either, please let me know.
