We still need to talk about that trade, art for massage. I can't seem to find the message you sent me and can't remember if you sent it to the Chroma Studios profile or my personal profile. Hope to hear from you soon! :)

So nice to meet you as well. Leonard Shlain, the author, was working on a book regarding the brain of Leonardo Divinci. I received word that Leonard Shlain had cancelled his speaking tour due to a tumor that developed in his brain. Ironically enough it's located in the same area where Leonardo Divinci developed a stroke. The last e-mail I received said he was going in for treatment. He and his family could use some thoughts of love and healing. Shlain wrote a great book. I hope he's able to complete his Leonardo book as well. Peace

Thanks! I don't know if I have anything to barter worth much but I do a lot of small dog sitting in my home. We could also barter things as well as services, couldn't we or is that another group? I have a friend that has a dental lab & I do pick-ups for her. I've fed dogs & cats, watered, taken in mail. Anything for a buck, chocolate or a friend.

Tonight we used the ZipCar for the first time.

Tonight we used the ZipCar for the first time.

We had a tight time frame - I had an 8 PM house call that was 90 minutes - and the bus ends its service around 6:30 PM on Sunday evenings.

Fortunately, the ZipCar was right where they said it would be - .42 miles from our house - and my office is mid-way - so we got right to the ZipCar the moment our reservation began - at 8 PM - and then ran back to my office to pick some house call stuff up.

The ZipCar we got is a Honda Civic Hybrid - a 2007 -… Continue

New ZipCar Member

Because our car was recently stolen - and we do not want to immediately replace it - we are dipping into the ZipCar pool.

We recently moved to Nob Hill, so we're a scant half-mile (at most) from where the 5 ZipCars are parked on the UNM campus. We just applied, should get our card in 3 - 7 days, and of course I'll be writing about the experience.

This foray into the ZipCar is to supplement our monthly bus passes, and so we can handle transportation situations which require a private car.

I'm so very excited that the brand new BarterABQ group here already has 10 members.

What a great way to meet new people and create relationships, conserve cash, get rid of inventory without marking it down, sell time you're not using, or other creative options.

Get what you need by barter/trade/swap - just like in the olden days!

Guerrilla Marketing with Sophie Martin and the Downtown Action Team

Yesterday I had a break in my hectic schedule, and was able to slip in to a FREE session with Sophie Martin (of Duke City Fix) on Guerrilla Marketing.

This workshop was at the Hyatt downtown (where else?) and sponsored by the Downtown Action Team.

I was so inspired, and so very grateful, to get reconnected with some of the Guerrilla Marketing strategies that WORK, and learn more.

I discovered the Guerrilla Marketing books many many years ago, and they have helped me in my massage practice, as… Continue
