Where I Live:
In Hip Happening Nob Hill
About Me:
I am a mediator / peace maker with MasterPeace Dispute Solutions, a local mediation and alternative dispute resolution practice. I assist couples at the beginning, middle and end of their relationships work through conflict.

I was born and raised in ABQ, graduated from Del Norte back when it was a big school, got my doctorate in law in the South East, and now I'm home where I belong.
Favorite Thing(s) About Albuquerque:
Waking to the roar of hot air balloons overhead, Best clouds and sunsets in the world, People watching at Flying Star, Meandering through Old Town at Christmas time...
My Website:
What I'm Reading:
Finding Common Ground--A Field Guide to Mediation, Collaborative Divorce, The Tao of Pooh, The Shack, The New Earth, The Four Agreements, ABQ Entertainment Coupon Book

I am not who you think I am, whatever that may be. Nothing on my outside defines me; Nothing in my past defines me. I am the sum of my passions. I joyfully weep when people prevail against prejudice and realize their true destiny. I champion the rejected and rush headlong against hate justified by gross misunderstandings of religious texts. I am an advocate on behalf of the forgotten and those too weak to defend themselves against a governmental collective mind which defines who is worthy. I stand arm in arm with the unjust, the beaten, the afraid, and the oppressed, daring the self appointed God police to touch my beloved ones. I am stronger than they think I am, more tenacious, more passionate than I have ever been in my life. I KNOW THE GREATEST FORCE ON EARTH IS THE POWER OF UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. That force is strong within me, and I will prevail.

Holy Crap! Two Cars Just Crashed into the Restaurant I'm At!

Posted on July 3, 2015 at 12:30pm 3 Comments

I'm having lunch at Fan Tang...corner of Carlisle and Central...and deeply engrossed in my book on marketing an invention when three explosions rock the room.  I look up and fifteen feet from my table and pointed right at me is one of two cars that have slammed into the retaining wall outside.  Everyone in the restaurant ran to the patio to offer help.  A police car arrived within a minute or two, and an ambulance and fire rescue and fire truck were there in another minute.  Airbags deployed…

Strolling to Paris for Lunch

Posted on February 5, 2015 at 5:10pm 0 Comments

Just a couple minutes away from my office in Nob Hill are three magical little cafe's, one serves Columbian food, one French food, and one Italian food.  Today I choose to have lunch at P'Louis Bistro.  Once inside I wiggled my deluxe frame into one of nine tables snuggled along the walls.  My first impression was…

3 Things You Must Do BEFORE Your Auto Accident

Posted on April 1, 2011 at 1:21pm 0 Comments

Statistically, it’s not a matter of “if” you’ll be in a crash.  Even the most careful driver will be involved in a significant crash at least once.  I’ve met people that have a crash or two per year—that weren’t their fault.  The best time to minimize the impact a crash can have on your life is before it happens.  These three things will make all the difference:

  1. Cover YOU and your passengers with the right insurance.  Don’t pick an insurance company based on who…

Albuquerque Divorce: Mediation vs. Litigation

Posted on March 28, 2011 at 6:24pm 0 Comments

For most couples getting divorced using the process of mediation can save them thousands of dollars, many months, and an untold amount of stress.  The trick is seeking mediation early in the process rather than months down the line when the court orders it.  Regardless of whether or not you have attorneys…

Fellow NM Photographer!
Just a quick note to invite you to Karl Koenig's opening at the Inpost Art Space (at the Outpost Performance Space, 210 Yale SE) this coming Friday evening, 5-8. Karl is a talented photographer who makes images mostly of nature and architecture, the world round. The show will focus on his large format gumoil photographs, a process that he pioneered himself about 20 years ago. The prints are hand pigmented, resulting in amazingly vibrant photographs with a wondrous, almost catastrophic fairy tale quality. I find them highly affecting and unique.

My fellow curator Rob Thalmann and I plan to focus heavily on local photography during our 2 year term there at the Outpost, and this is just the tip of the iceberg for us. Maybe we could even do a DCF photographer's group show there?

Come see the show on the 5th!

Cool. Thanks! Great pic from the church too. I love that art, but hadn't seen the south side mural, just the stuff facing 4th St.

Thanks! I've been trying to get Sophie to include the requirement that people should post reviews of the shows if they win tickets.

As you could see from the turnout, we need all the plugs we can get. Wanna write something and post your pic on the main page in response to the ticket giveaway thread?
