About Me:
Based in the Santa Fe/Albuquerque area, Los Primos will perform where ever they are called.

Los Primos repertoire includes songs of the Mariachi and Trio Romantico. They have earned a reputation for the variety of music they play and how they adapt their repertoire to provide a unique show each time the perform. Their colorful and festive guayabera shirts have become a trademark which parallels the unique and festive entertainment that this group provides.

The group has performed for hundreds of events of every kind. Performing for more than 40 weddings a year, Los Primos’ acoustic music is a favorite of brides from around the world who choose to have their ceremony and reception in the beautiful and historic city of Santa Fe.

Performances can be tailored for clients including the addition of one or more dancers and sound amplification equipment.

Can't wait for tonight!

Tonight will be our first performance at the Route 66 Casino! I'm excited about the new venue and look forward to the fun environment! I've taken the family to the Buffet at Route 66, but the new Thunder Road Steakhouse and Cantina sounds even more delicious! Adding the live entertainment, I hope it will be a great experience for all those who come out to see us tonight! Nos… Continue

Hey, that's Papi up on I-40!

It was pretty cool and a little weird to see my face on a billboard off of I-40. My kids get a kick out of seeing it every time we pass by. They all yell, "Es papi!" or "Fiesta de Colores!". I had to get a picture of it for memories sake.

It's pretty neat to make a living doing something my children can enjoy and sometimes take part in. I have some great memories of playing at the Downtown growers market, and having them join the… Continue

Valentines Day Serenades Immortalized in Mexican Cinema...

Posted on February 11, 2009 at 2:30pm 0 Comments

For those not familiar with this tradition, serenatas are for any occasion where one wishes to express his love or appreciation for someone they hold in high esteem. Strolling musicians (often referred to as mariachis) are asked to go to the window of the beloved on his behalf and express his indescribable love through song. Serenades were forever immortalized in classic Mexican cinema where stars such as Pedro Infante or Jorge Negrete standing in a… Continue
