"Great post! As a Parkland Hills resident (not as immediate an impact as you will experience) I am having trouble seeing this as having negatives that outweigh benefits. Your first two points - What about North/South? - Well, it IS part of the…"
"Believe it or not, I find that I crave Pizza 9 as well. HEAR ME OUT... The crust is APPALLING, a clone of Pizza Hut, greasy and over-aired. However, the toppings are quite good, in quality and variety, along with the right amount of hunks of goodies…"
"Comparing wood fired/ neapolitan style pizza to NY Style / thin crust pizza doesn't work. Farina is the best wood fired in town, but Il Vicino and Amore have their charms. Giovanni's is the best NY Style, although if you can make it out to…"
"Maybe IKEA could open a seconds store, just like the Rack - they'd sell all the furniture that people couldn't figure out how to put together, or returned damaged, or leftover from college apartment rentals. Good as new! (they…"
"Albq. doesn't have the population required for an IKEA--hell, I don't think the entire state has the population required for an IKEA. They prefer to establish themselves in much larger markets.
Why in the hell is Susana going to UT…"

What I'm Reading:
Magazines- My wife's copy of Bust, every month. Consumer Reports. Fine Gardening. My college alumni magazine. Brain, Child. Oh yeah, a few books too, once in a while. You know, Sherman Alexie, Billy Joel Biographies, Books about the Red Sox, stuff like that.
Masshole, thanks for the Denver restaurant recommendation! My post was pulled b/c I was outside of the scope of DCF--i.e. Denver dish. Lo siento. At any rate, I saw your recs. Muchas gracias :) I will look into Sushi Den today. I'm thinking lunch. I leave out tonight and will try to get all three meals at amazing restaurants before I head home (to my real favorites).
Yes. The info was very helpful... and I totally understand how you feel about keeping it a secret. I was born, raised... and still live in the South Valley... I always found out about the event after the fact... Thank you very much for the info.
We love Bandelier as well and are very grateful to attend there. Reese, my son, is in third grade, with Ms. Erwin. Her teaching style is so different. Instead of reading this hour and math that hour. She incorporates it into everything the students do in a more creative way. Their field trips are once a month to the Bosque, working on a program with UNM's biology department. She's the one who started the outdoor gardens. Definately a teacher who fits the Nob Hill 'hippieness'. Tenley, my daughter, had Ms. Lea last year, and is in Ms. Quinn's this year. Course most of her friends are in Ms. Ortiz's class. They both also attend Children's Choice before and after school, and during the summer. Great staff in there as well. Have a great year and we'll see you at the Halloween carnival!
