Hey, public bathrooms are important to some people -- even some incoming students. "...any tips/comments/advice about UNM...." No where did that statement indicate we were going for THE MOST IMPORTANT Advice here. If that were the case I'd have d…

SAN MATEO BLVD. SE & BLIGHT
Why is San Mateo Blvd. SE blighted? Why have some of the lots remained vacant for so long? And just Why hasn't anybody really developed this strip of land between Zuni Rd. and Gibson Ave.? I don't know.

But I'm trying to… Continue

You know, I was just thinking that, with global atmospheric deterioration, the healthcare crises in the US and the massive transfer of wealth from the middle class to the top 1%, corporatism is destroying not only our country but the very planet we live on.
How in the world can "we the people" buy back our government?

Another Mike - Disclosure: I'm not a patent lawyer but I do work for one. I give only my amateur opinions and these are my personal observations (which are not necessarily my firm's official line). It's hard to give a one size fits all scenario but following is my one of my takes on the situation.

Obtaining a utility patent (the most common kind) is a long (as in possibly 3-6 years), involved, and very expensive process (with no guarantee of being granted a patent when it's all said and done). Once you have obtained a patent it technically does not prevent someone else from copying your invention. What it does do is give you the right to sue someone that copies your idea. Which is even more expensive than obtaining the patent in the first place.

Some people are of the opinion that if you have a good idea whose time is ripe, rather than wasting time and money protecting the idea it's better to make the product and sell as many as you can before someone copies it.

There are several problems with the kind of outfits you linked to, but this post has already gone on long enough. If you want to know more, just ask.

Accordion and thanks!

Good comments - there is always room for improvement. Given that last year there were 10 people BBQing in the rain, I think we had 100% improvement.

The hearing went OK. We'll have 15 days to wait for the hearing officer's decision.

(I agree with the barbeque seeming inappropriate. I think it would be in very poor taste to have baby back ribs on the menu)

Hi Mike,

We are always interested in hearing what people want to see presentations on. Currently we don't have anything like that in the queue. I can bring up your request in the meeting tonight. Thanks!

Thanks for the update, Mike. I'm bummed we missed out on the food since we worked so hard to make a bunch of those kabobs!

Do you have any idea when the next meeting might happen? I ran across something yesterday and it looks like Gardenburger is giving out grants of up to $10,000 for community gardens, but we'd have to apply by May 15th. I would be happy to get the process started, but I'm not really sure who at EPC I should contact about it.
