I've been living in Albuquerque for 16 years now and I call it home. I grew up as a military brat so I've done my share of moving around.
Favorite Thing(s) About Albuquerque:
neon lights, marble brewery, sandia mountains at sunset, the bosque, red and green chile, don schrader, art, muertos y marigolds parade, Le Chat Lunatique, Globalquerque, the National Hispanic Cultural Center
My parents met in Japan. My dad was stationed there and my mom was there teaching on the base. They got married in Tokyo. I would love to take a trip to Japan someday. My cousin actually lives in Okinawa now. She's teaching over there too.
Never had the experience of being stationed overseas. My dad was a Lt. Col in the Air Force. Lived in Mississippi, Illinois, Florida and then here. He retired here. Looking at it now, we didn't have to move around that much. How about yourself? I Love Calexico, by the way.
