"I would not rush to judge the former councillor. The city said that glass is being recycled. The milion dollar question is "how much?" My guess is that while some of the glass is being repurposed (not exactly the same as recycled) the vast…"

"Guys: If what you are saying is true, than you need to run, not walk, to the nearest ACLU office and consider taking legal action against the city. Is this in the works? I would think that, given the above, you have been damaged financially."

"Sophie: Not a bad take, but it misses the mark. To the person whose speech is being curtailed it makes no difference who is doing the censoring; their freedoms are being limited. Now should that person decide to seek redress what you are saying may…"

Massive Ticketing Fraud on the Rail Runner?

Posted on December 27, 2009 at 1:49pm 1 Comment

Somewhat strange happenings on the train over the last couple of weeks makes me wonder if the RR (and taxpayers) are being cheated out of millions in lost fares:

-An agent, not a conductor and someone I did not recognize, was performing at "ticket audit" of all passengers. Said individual took your ticket and scrutinized it for about twenty seconds. No bar code scan or any other kind of cross check was observed. It seemed like most everyone in my area "passed".

-Conductors… Continue

An Environmentalist Rides the Rail Runner

Posted on August 27, 2009 at 6:23pm 25 Comments

I took my first Rail Runner ride today, Downtown Albuquerque to Santa Fe. The journey was delightful and the scenery eye-popping. I have made the trip several times by car and was amazed at just how much "civilization" can be found between I-25 and the Rio Grande.

Unfortunately, the rabid environmentalist in me was somewhat troubled. Despite the fact that I was on the 7:30 AM from downtown, the train was nearly empty. My best guess would be 25% of the available seats were filled… Continue

My Mission

Posted on April 15, 2009 at 8:13pm 0 Comments

Though we dwell in the shadow of the mountain, in these trying times there is hope.

Our heavenly father loves us and there is no greater proof of his love than popular music from the 1970's.

My mission is to help spread this message. Many of His earthly ambassadors are passing, "England" Dan Seals being the latest.

Do not let this legacy of love pass.

Peace be with… Continue
