About Me:
The Outpost Performance Space has been presenting jazz, experimental, international, folk and roots music , spoken word, young people's shows, education programs and more since it's inception in 1988. Outpost is a non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization supported by memberships, private donations, and corporate sponsorships with a professional staff, a solid volunteer corps and 600 paid members. The Outpost Performance Space, located just down the street from Albuquerque's historic Nob Hill district, is an intimate, alcohol and smoke free venue that seats up to 150 people. Outpost three seasons, Spring, Summer and Fall feature both renowned and local artists as well as the New Mexico Jazz Festival in July which takes place in Albuquerque & Santa Fe.

This week at Outpost it's Resonance featuring vocalist, Patti Littlefield and low brass maestro, Mark Weaver in an unusual and experimental exploration of spatial sound: no chordal instruments, just tuba and voice, re-fashioning material ranging from standards to jazz and pop tunes to original compositions.
