Exciting things happening here in downtown Albuquerque! This week the Downtown Action Team brought in a Resource team to meet with several breakout groups including artists, business owners, planners, architects, educational groups, marketers, media, non profits, etc. to discuss planning of the recently state designated Downtown Arts & Cultural District. I participated in two of these breakout sessions, the gallery owners/educational groups/museums and the artists/artisans… Continue

Willy Porter at the Cooperage, Amazing!

Posted on March 30, 2009 at 9:00am 5 Comments

Thanks to the tickets I won here on DCF, my husband and I went to the Willy Porter show last night. It was an amazing show! Willy Porter is an incredible musician, talented, inspiring and funnier than hell! I haven't laughed so hard in years. He made me cry, laugh and just plain sit in awe of his talent.

Michael Chapdelaine opened the show, as usual, he put on an awesome show! We have seen Michael perform several times in the past and have… Continue

This Week's Inspiration: Motorcycle Ride!

Posted on March 25, 2009 at 4:31pm 0 Comments

My inspiration for this week was an amazing, fun filled motorcycle ride in the East Mountains with my artist friend, Jacqui. The weather was perfect, sunny and warm. I've been telling Jacqui that I really want a motorcycle, so she offered to take me for a ride on hers.

It's been at least 20 years since I've been, at least that I can… Continue

Paula,

I've been really bad about picking that piece up. Is there any time this week that you'll be available?

Hey, Paula,

Is it OK if I bring one of the pieces back in for adjustment? It's the one you fixed for Krista - she'd like the piece centered in the glass. Is that doable?

Thanks!

Hi Paula -

I apologize for not being in touch! I've been super busy with school and with opening a newly expanded office - however I'm going to email you in a little bit.

Paula I really enjoyed being at your house last weekend. Love the house, the stories about parenthood, the room full of records........it was just amazing.
The Alibi needs to do a story complete with photographs of your dads record collection.
Also, I truly think that your and Aarons idea for the trailer on the other side of town for the kids when they get to the moving out age would make a fantastic sitcom

Hi Paula. Sorry I haven't been to any of the sketch groups lately. I injured my right shoulder area on Jan 1 (translate excrutiating agony for ten days or so, and constant pain still...) and can't even get out of the house - life has been on hold ever since. (Plus, my computer went kablooey at the same time...) So, it may still be a while before I can re-enter the world. Not a fun way to start a new year. But, I didn't want you to think I was merely uninterested! Loved reading about your bald eagle moment. I have seen them at the Bosque del Apache.
